In the wise words of the Mad Hatter, “it’s always tea time”. Actually though, you wouldn’t believe how crazy this is!! Teatime at the Shangri La hotel in Paris has an ALL-vegan teatime!! That’s so crazy, right? (Almost as crazy as the fact that the actor who plays Bill Weasley in harry Potter- Domhall Gleeson- is the real life son of the actor who plays Mad Eye Moody!! #mindblow)

Anyway, Monica, Bella, and I ventured to the hotel and got ready for our vegan lil dainty sandwiches and tea cups…but no, lo and behold, it was like a dream come true. They brought out multiple plates of vegan sandwiches, cookies, pastries, scones, desserts, all vegan! We all felt like the little boy in Mathilda or the kids in Hansel & Gretal.

So much dessert, so little time! If you’re with a group of three, I would recommend splitting two instead of each getting your own because there was so much food left at the end and taking food to go isn’t really a thing in Paris.

Our verdict: the scones were actually AMAZING, the cookies and some of the fancy desserts were great, but most of the sandwiches were pretty mediocre. Not bad, just eh. And the tea was great, obviously.

If you want a classy little get together with a few of your girl friends, I highly recommend. The tea room is adorable and if the idea of plates and plates of all vegan dessert doesn’t apply to you, well then something is wrong with you.

Also, probably one of the most attractive men I have ever scene worked at the hotel and escorted us to the table, so if that doesn’t make it sound more appealing, than I don’t even know!
