Hey guys! If you don’t follow our instagram (um are you even a true TVLD fan??? lol jk) then you probably don’t know that we just came back from Japan! But if you do follow our instagram or know us, then you you do know that #logic! Not to mention, our TVLD stalker definitely knows we went to Japan because he/she/they are always the first to view our story. They have zero followers and no profile picture and are set on private. Whoever you are, we’re onto you.
ANYWAY, the worst part of traveling is the airplane. We were lucky enough to travel in style (ala first class) but for those in economy (trust me, that is what I usually fly #cry) here are 3 ways to make a long ass flight instantly more bearable: Rent movies on your laptop (I recommend something fun like Mission Impossible or Edge of Tomorrow #TomCruiseIsSEXY), do a facemask on the plane (you might look psycho but I promise your skin will look hella better than the rest of those fools), AND REQUEST A VEGAN MEAL. DO IT. Plane food sucks, yes, but you know what sucks more? Eating bags of pretzels for 12 hours.
Ana Airlines food honestly wasn’t that bad. They gave us a little veggie appetizer. I’m sure it was good but something in it tasted like cashew butter and don’t ask why but I have a taste aversion to cashew butter so I didn’t eat it. But I’m sure it was lit.
For the first course, it was this quinoa cabbage roll thing. Not gonna lie, cabbage tastes like sour garbage. But the quinoa on the inside was yummy and it came with olives and peppers so #winning.
For the main course, we got another cabbage roll (sos please send help) and PASTA!!! I LOVE PASTA!! Can you believe that? I don’t think I’ve ever gotten pasta with marinara sauce on a plane before. Was it the best pasta? No. Was it the worst? Maybe. But I still loved it.
Can’t forget the delicious bread we got which the incredibly nice flight attendants assured us was VEGAN!
Also, just a side note, Narita International Airport in Tokyo gets a special mention for having vegan sandwiches in their terminal as well as a soy latte! Yes, if you were wondering, Japan has it all.
