Just so I get this out of the way, yes Tokyo is one of the coolest cities on the planet and yes they have MULTIPLE vegan options for travelers, no matter what people tell you. As a vegan, I’m pretty sure you share the valuable skill my sister and I do: being able to find vegan food ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. It’s a survival skill. Only the strong survive.
Anyway, if you want extensive reviews on each of these places, click on their links!
As we do with most of our travel entries, our last post is always a quick rundown of all of the vegan options in the place we visited. You know, for those who don’t have time to read our Pulitzer Prize-winning reviews.
Vegan options in Tokyo that we reviewed:
. Ain Soph Ginza (Vegan restaurant with traditional Japanese cuisine + pancakes lol)
. Ain Soph Ripple (Vegan burgers, fries, burritos, you name it)
. 8ablish (Vegan Mediterranean food)
. Alfred Tea Room (Has vegan drink and dessert options)
. Sougo Japanese Shojin Restaurant (Can prepare vegan muti-course Japanese meal if scheduled beforehand)
. Good Town Doughnuts (Vegan donut selection)
. Little Bakery Tokyo (Vegan cinnamon buns)
. Two Dogs Taproom (Vegan pizza)
. Brown Rice Cafe (Vegan restaurant)
Those were all the places we went. Here is a list of the places we did not go to, but heard were good.
. T’s Tantan (Vegan ramen option)
. Falafel Brothers (You can assume what they serve, lol)
. Starbucks (Rumor says they have a vegan donut)
. Ain Soph Journey (Another Ain Soph restaurant, but I think this one has French food?)
. Trueberry (Smoothie/acai bowl place)
. Loving Hut (Vegan Chinese food chain. I think they may have one in LA)
. Sky High (A raw bar with smoothies and stuff)
I hope this list was helpful for your upcoming travel plans to Japan! Bon voyage, you vegan souls!
