HEY GUYS. Long time no blog. Sorry, i’ve been BUSY living MY LIFE, okay!? Anyway, if you are in Melbourne and are planning on taking a glorious day trip to the Mornington Peninsula, I GOTCHU COVERED.
Well, that is, if you stop in the lovely town of Sorrento (which I highly recommend, because LOTS of vegan food kids)
1. Just Fine Food Delicatessen
(I legit thought the place was called “Vanilla Slice” because it legit says “VANILLA SLICE” all over the fucking place. I guess they just have a baller vanilla slice.)
Anyway, this is a bakery style place, and they had three desserts labeled “vegan”. One was the Turkish Delight (always reminds me of Narnia), energy balls, and the other was a raw brownie. I got the turkish delight and it was SO yummy. Like damn, those delights are delightful #delight
2. Scicluna’s Real Food Merchants
This cute little supermarket is right next to the vanilla slice place. And it was the perfect place to pick up snacks for the long drive home. They had a ton of organic and healthy snacks, so basically my paradise. This is what I got.
3. Smashing
TRENDY AF brunch/lunch place. I got the vegan banana bread with almond butter AND the loaded vegetable toast or something (I can’t remember the exact name or if they modified it any way so just make sure to ask). I also got a really good juice, but I low-key don’t remember what was in it but it was SO GOOD. Ugh everything was SO good.
The waitress was legit like “You want the banana bread AND the vegetable toast?” And I was like “Yuuuuupppp”. Legit every time I go out to eat, I shock the waiters because of how much food I order and EAT. Like they are all SHOCKED. I’m like, dudes, my only talent is eating. Of course I’m really good at it.
They also had vegan cheesecake and other desserts, but I was pretty full tbh
SO if you are headed to the Mornington Peninsula, I GOT YOU COVERED BAES.
