YO YO YO PEOPLE WASSUP! WELCOME TO MY LAST EUROPE BLOG!
As you all know (or don’t?) I just got back from London so all my European excursions have sadly come to an end and this will be my final European blog post. I’m sure Bella will have a million trillion more flowing in from the Land of Kangaroos, but as of now, this is my Vegan Eats Abroad curtain call.
Anyway, so yeah my friends Je’lyn, Ali, and Emma went to Florence for a few days and of course, I put my vegan skills to the test and scouted some vegan places and vegan options for all you litle vegan travelers out there in the universe.
I’ll start with my favorite places and then go down the list. That way if you’re only in Florence for a short amount of time, you know which places to hit up first.
- RAW: ugdhnaisbfucjhbnco THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN. Not only is it like super chic, it’s also 100% vegan and raw and the food is so delicious and hearty and healthy, it makes me cry just thinking about it. I got the rice paper rolls, the falafel wrap, the chocolate cake, and the chocolate gelato. 10 out of fucking 10. If you’re vegan and don’t go here, IMMA judge you. (ps my friend Je’lyn got the acai bowl but it wasn’t totally amazing so maybe skip that?)
Tattoria Boboli: BEST bread and pasta in all of Florence, I’m convinced. The bread they give you at the table is like lowkey doughy slices of PIZZA crust and the noodles (spaghetti and tomato sauce #classic) are HOMEMADE and literally made of just water and wheat. CRAY-ZAY good.
Gille: This restaurant is super beautiful on the inside and out (literally, not metaphorically, they have an outside seating area lol) and is smack dab in the center of the Piazza Rebuclico which is not only stunning, but also has a farmers market and a cute-ass carousel that you bet your ass we went on like the 5 years olds we are. Anyway, as per usual, I got spaghetti with tomato sauce, a spritz to drink (cuz Italy) and fresh cut strawberries for dessert. YUMMO.
Gelateria Santa Trinita: Best gelato in Florence. Right next to a beautiful bridge. None of the cones are vegan but the dark chocolate and strawberry are vegan and so so good. Both egg and milk free #ohyes
Rosso: Small coffee shop we wandered upon one day that had (drumroll please…) SOY LATTES AND VEGAN CROISSANTS! YUP. Like we legit wandered upon this place by accident. Crazy right? Anyway, I highly recommend. Nice staff, great berry filled croissants, and delicious lattes.
Rivalta: A restaurant that has a whole VEGAN (minus the eggs) buffet. YUP. Now it’s not like most American buffets with like pasta and stuff, instead they had a selection of fresh and delicious fruits, veggies, and potatoes and it was great if you are looking for a healthy break between all the pasta and gelato lol.
Beijing 8: LOL I know what you all are thinking. Chinese food in Italy? Yup, because my friend and I are janky motherfuckers, we got Chinese food delivered to our air bnb LOL. Like only we would order Chinese food in Italy #noshame. Anyway I got chili spiced edamame, veggie dumplings, and rice with yummy sauces. NO REGRETS BITCHES.
Anyway yeah, if you don’t like pasta and or bread, Italy is probably not the place for you, but if you do, hop on ova!
