GUESS WHAT GUYS!?!? My older sissy Sophie came up to London and we went to Copenhagen and Amsterdam together!!! #PARTAY
Because my sister is chill af, she let me check out a bunch of vegan places so I got to explore the vegan side of Copenhagen which was super fun! I also went to a few non-vegan restaurants, so if you are traveling with a non-vegan squad, I gotchu.
So here are some of the places we went and vegan options I got. Also disclaimer, Copenhagen is the tits and 10/10 recommend a visit there.
Anyway, here were the places we ventured to:
. Torvehallerne: Yes, I can’t read that word either. Also, yes I recommend coming here lol. I think that word translates into “Glassmarket” which is essentially what it is. It’s a large food market inside a glass dome and they have many vegan options. Lots of fresh juices and vegan granola bars and such. We stopped at a place called “Vita Boost” where we got two smoothies and a hummus/avocado/sundried tomato panini that was to die for. 10/10 recommend.
. Paper Island: If you’re visiting Copenhagen, you definitely have to check this place out. It’s a bit of a walk (or ferry) but it’s literally this little island with a GIANT food court which has a bunch of vegan options.
I ended up going with Thai food (rice and veggie stir-fry) as well as eating some of my sisters curly fries (fuck me up fam. Love me a good fat curly fry) but there were many options below that I will list
- OK Thai (where I got my food)
- Fala Fala (vegan falafel)
- Made N Italy (marked vegan pizzas)
- Gourmet Pasta Lab (Homemade fresh vegan pasta option)
I was too full so i couldn’t try everything, but I ten out of ten recommend the trip. This place is too cool.
. Restaurant Geist: Really trendy cool restaurant with a bunch of vegan options. We split the sauteed spinach and kale dish, as well as the Jeruselum artichoke dish. Then for dessert I got a really cool coconut matcha sorbet patty thing. If you like trendy, this is your place.
. Naturbageriet: Vegan bakery. Got a brownie. It was only ok which made me #salty, but it also doubles as a supermarket so I bought some pretty dank vegan snacks lol
. Radio: They also accomodated super quickly with a vegan tasting menu. It was incredible and the staff was very kind.
Anyway, great food, great vibe, beautiful city. Everyone here is SO SO nice (nicest people I’ve probably ever met) so you could probably go to any restaurant and they could whip something up for you!!
Bone apple tea!
