So, I know this isn’t an extensive review about EVERYTHING vegan in Chelsea (sue me. Go check foursquare or something #boibye) but I did go to two places literally half a second away from the other, so I’d thought I’d make it a joint post. And no, I didn’t do it because I was lazy… ok, only a little bit because I was lazy, but you get the point.
- JUICE BABY
I met my friend from NY, Becca, and her friend, Channel, here for lunch when they were in town! First of all, this juice place not only has an adorable name, but is also ALL vegan! They have lots of premade salads, juices, and juice shots. At the counter, they don’t have as many options but you can order avo toast, acai bowls, and the soup of the day.
My verdict: The juice is amazing. Really good and fresh (except avoid the aloe shot at all costs, that shit is legit poison). The food was ok/good. Again, not out of this world, but a good option if you need a quick bite to eat.
2. Triyoga
Yes, I know, y’all are like: what the fuck? Vegan at a yoga place? Chill motherfuckers. It’s a yoga studio WITH a vegan cafe. And yes, my friend and I didn’t just go for the food, we went for the yoga as well (really good yoga btw if you’re into that).
Anyway, my friend and I split an openfaced tofu sandwich and it was perfect after that super hard (but good for the mind & body I guess lol) yoga class.
Verdict: Super yummy. Recommend it if you go. We both wanted a second one after we ate it lol.
So if you’re ever in the area and want to hit up some healthy eats and do a bit of yoga, these are your places. Not to mention, they are literally 5 seconds away from each other.
