Yes guys, I went to Amsterdam and did more than just smoke weed a few times, OK!?!? Geeez, stop judging me!!
Anyway, my older sissy and I went to Amsterdam for a quick two day trip and here are all of our vegan eats!
. Latei: In the Red Light District (we legit saw a prostitution transaction in the first 10 minutes of being there, it was crazy). We went here after “chilling” in a coffee shop. Not too many vegan options, but they did have a delicious hot chocolate that they could modify to be vegan and a rice and tempeh stir-fry which could also be modified #ohyeah
. Blushing: Right across the street from the Van Gough museum. That whole corner of museums is crowdy and touristy AF so it was nice to get a breather and chill for a bit at this cafe. Sophie and I got the Jane Fonda pre-workout smoothie (we were walking a lot, ok!?) which was great. Then I got the hummus toast which is the equivalent of fancy avocado toast but with fresh hummus and it was delicious!! So if you’re stressed about waiting in so many lines for museums, this is your place to take a chill pill.
Vegabond: AN ALL VEGAN CAFE AND SUPERMARKET FUCK ME UP FAM!!!! They had donuts and sandwiches and juices and Snicker’s pies. UGH. I ended up getting Booja Booja Caramel Praline ice cream and a few other vegan snacks because I’m a proud FATTIE. The staff was super nice and the place was super cute. Def a must-stop for any vegan roming around Amsterdam.
De Kas: The coolest restaurant in Amsterdam I’m convinced. It’s a restaurant INSIDE a giant glass greenhouse. They made me the most bomb all-vegan tasting menu (few of the courses picture below) as well as the most bomb gin & tonics. One of the salads was even made with spinach from their garden. How dope? And the dessert was ice cream topped with hazelnut spread covered dates. Ugh, fuck. Me. Up. Anyway, go here, it’s awesome.
Amsterdam was a little too gritty and touristy for my taste, but the food def made up for it!!
