If you would love to see a bunch of wannabe Cali-natives and nobodies slyly pretending to casually be somebodies (But not in a subtly obvious way, like in a really obvious way), go to the Grove! Not only does it have great shopping and food, but great people watching too. The amount of neon nike sneakers, floppy hats, oversized sun glasses, tacky crop tops, and patterned jumpsuits kinda made me want to simultaneously cringe and cry. Not that I myself am a fashionista of any sorts, but I can spot a try-hard when I see one. (Lolololol, everytime I look in the mirror)
Anyway, if you delve into the jungle of the farmers market in the back of the grove, you may find yourself among the cuteness of Zia Valentina. It is basically this little all natural food stand with vegan/gluten-free cupcakes, cookies, sandwiches, and delicious, cold granitas (Basically, flavored slushies).
I got a chocolate mint and coffee swirl granita, Bella got the regular chocolate and coffe swirl, and Ali got the mango swirl. We all loved how refreshing they were, the cool texture, and really on fleek flavours. We also go a vegan mozzarella, pesto, tomato, tapenade sandwich which was yummy tambien.
So I recommend stopping by here for a bite to eat if you are ever in the grove. And please, for the love of God, don’t try to pull out all the stops in the fashion department. Just be casual and chic and good fortune will come your way. Check out the website and menu here: http://www.ziavalentina.com or follow them on the beloved gram.
