Okay so we decided to go shopping in Venice today in on Abbot Kinney, which is this adorable little beach/shopping town where everyone is super stylish, the dogs are so cute  you want to die, and there is delicious vegan/health food places everywhere #heaven.( Side note: our fellow-vegan Rita sent us an email today telling us to check out a this vegan ice cream place called Van Leeuwen and since we were already out, we were like “aw darn. Next time”) 

So we were going about our shopping in a pretty normal, fashion. You know, trying to find the right clothes that hide our walrus thighs and suddenly….duh, duh, duh two universes collided and guess what we run into!?!?

A VAN LEEUWEN ICE CREAM TRUCK!!!!#mindblown 

What are the odds? In my favor, I guess so suck on that Katniss Everdeen! I’m the captain now #captainphillips? 

Anyway, they have a bunch of vegan options and the staff is very friendly and quick. The seetra and I got mint chocolate chip in a vegan cone and it was the perfect snack to munch on while shopping. We were hesitant to walk into a store because of our ice cream, but when we asked if it was okay, the lady in the store was like “of course, yeah!” almost like “why would you not be able to walk into this store? It’s just ice cream!”. I though back to NY (Mostly the Hamptons) and how they sometimes even make you wait outside if you have coffee in your hands. Toto, I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore… #onlyinVenice #ThatCaliLifeDoe
