SOOOOOOOOOOOO if you haven’t been to or heard of the melting pot then you’ve GOT to check it out. Who doesn’t fricken like fondue?! I know, the Melting Pot has a reputation of being kinda lame (kinda like Forever 21) but if you give it a chance, it’s actually amazing (even Forever 21-I found some super cute t-shirts there!). So the sis and I went to the Melting Pot in White Plains, NY with our bestie Taylor because it’s a tradition, and it honestly never disappoints. 

It’s SO fun. Not only is it fun to make your own food, ya know- switch things up, but also it forces you to eat slower, which makes you take your time, enjoy the company around you, and realize you are full before it’s too late (we all know the feeling of realizing you’re way past your “full point” and there’s no going back so you just keep….going). The trick is that if you sigh during you’re meal, then that means you’re full! So life hack. (Lol, whenever i sigh the first time, i’m like “yea screw it” and then when i get to the third sigh I’m like “maybe i should have listened to the first sigh”)

Anyways, get the California salad (because California is awesome obviously) because it’s actually the BEST salad ever. It has a raspberry walnut vinaigrette dressing and has candied walnuts and it’s just so amazing. Like i want a bucket of that salad right now. For the entree, we got the Good Earth Vegetarian (without the ravioli and sachetti or whatever that thing is called cause it’s not vegan. The sachetti is so similar to the word “spaghetti” but isn’t spaghetti so it just seems like an impostor. It should just be called “not spaghetti”). Also ask for the vegetable broth to cook your food in because it’s vegan. 

Anyways, everything is so yummy especially the tofu and the mushrooms. Not all the sauces are vegan but the teriyaki and the plum ginger are BOSS with everything. The dessert isn’t vegan (Sad face) but you’re so full by the end it don’t even matter. Also, i got the strawberry lemonade to drink and it was okay. A little to sugary so i had to add some water.

But DEFF go here for some fun with friends, some tasty food, a cozy atmosphere, and really nice/welcoming service.
