If you ever find yourself in Los Angeles on a gorgeous sunny Sunday morning, you must run – not walk – to the Melrose Trading Post. I said, RUN bitches!
The Melrose Trading Post is basically a Farmer’s Market but for handcrafted goods like clothes, candles, jewelry, antiques, books, succulents, crystals, records… aka a Gen Z’s wet dream. I spent way too much money there on a bunch of cute things for my sister and me, but it was a great time! So many cute finds and I definitely recommend checking it out.
But I know you’re thinking: what in the world can be vegan at a trading post?? Well, obviously most of the items were vegan. There were some fur coats and hide rugs that you can close your eyes when you walk by, but a lot of the candles were vegan and the place had a lot of eco-friendly items and repurposed thrifted goods. There was, however, one food truck called Ciao Bella Italian Ice & Granitas with all vegan granitas. Score! The perfect snack on a hot day.
I got the half watermelon, half blackberry granita. It was great! So refreshing and flavorful! However, it did melt pretty fast (good thing I eat like a starving hyena) and the portion was pretty small for $6. So, up to you if you think this sweet treat is worth it!
Their IG is @ciaobellagranitas if you want to check them out!
