How cute is the name of this place? Like, squirrels are so underratedly adorable. 

Anyways, I had always seen this cute little cafe all over instagram (you know, that giant piece of brioche with ricotta cheese and jam? No? Do you follow Kieran Shipka on insta? She is like the queen of that toast) Anyway, I didn’t think anything there was vegan until my friend Riley suggested we go after our acting class final and I was like YAS.

It’s this really tiny cute little cafe with an NYC vibe and it’s super popular. There are a couple cool vegan options/things that can be made vegan. Everything is clearly marked on the menu and the waiters are very nice if you have questions #ShoutOutToVeganHatingWaiters.

Sadly, the brioche toast is not vegan butttt some of the spreads can be made vegan and put on top of a lovely baguette bread.

I got the vegan version of the crispy rice salad, the vegan version of the avocado toast, and a ginger tea (also got a banana bread to-go for my roomates who are having boy problems #BOYSSUCK but they haven’t tried it yet so no idea if it’s good lol).

The crispy rice salad was good! Like objectively it was really good, but like it wasn’t my favorite. Idk if that makes sense lol but my friend Riley loved it! (also I took it to go and like ate it right when I got home so… v mixed feelings about it lol)

The avocado toast was by far my favorite!! SO GOOD. One of the best avocado toasts I’ve ever tried (and trust me, I’ve tried a lot). Also the baguette bread was BALLER. So crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. Still dreamin bout it.

The tea was kinda strong. The ginger was like a lot. Like my brain felt fuzzy every time I drank it (I swear I’m not the type of person who uses the word “fuzzy” a lot #ISWEAR)

My vegan friend Amanda got an almond milk latte and said it was really good and was impressed at how thick the almond milk was so #yay

This da banana bread I mentioned. Honestly I’d so rather be sleeping on a giant stack of flax banana bread than studying for my geology final tomorrow #help #SOS
