So, as you may or may not know, my sister and I are HUGE donut fanatics. We’ve literally tried every vegan donut on the west coast probably. Yes, that includes donuts from Portland, Seattle, San Fransisco, Las Vegas, and LA. So we can officially say we are donut aficionados perhaps. 

So when I heard that there was a little donut shop in West Hollywood on West 3rd, called SK’s, that sold vegan donuts, I was #shooketh. How is it possible that I had not tried donuts from here, let alone heard about this place? 

Well, lucky me, my boss gave me a $25 GrubHub gift card for the holidays and I knew exactly how I was going to use it: trying donuts from Sk’s. So I hopped on my laptop and quickly reviewed their menu, stomach rumbling. Lo and behold, I saw that they have like 50 vegan donut flavors. How epic? It was tough to decide, but I ended up getting the banana fritter and the chocolate raised donut, while my sister asked for the classic glaze. How boring is that? lol

Anyway, my sister loved the glaze. She literally ate it at 4 am for breakfast on the way to the airport and, I don’t know about you, but I thought that was kind of iconic. I personally didn’t love the chocolate raised one at all (sorry, the frosting tasted cheap and almost fruity) but THE BANANA FRITTER DOE!!!! Omgeee, I’m such a hoe for fritters, it’s crazy. I love love love apple fritters but had never had a banana one so I had to get it. It lived up to all of my wild fantasies and I can ten-out-of-ten recommend. 

So, was SK’s one of the best donut shops ever? No. But would I get that fritter again? Um, 100%.
