New York City in the fall is truly magical. All the shops have their Halloween decorations out. The weather is sunny but perfectly chill for sweaters and warm drinks. The trees have all changed colors from vibrant summer-green to a cozy orange-auburn. But most importantly… it’s pumpkin spice season. For all the basic betches out there reading this, this one’s for you.
My sister, friend Rebecca, and I decided to stop for coffee at Lucid Cafe, a cute little cafe in Murray Hill (Midtown Manhattan) for a little caffeine kick to start our day. Not only was the store itself just the epitome of a cute, hole-in-the-wall NYC coffee shop, but it was adorably decorated with pumpkins and other Halloween decor.
I didn’t ask about all their vegan options, but I did see that they had vegan cookies on display that looked super delicious. I didn’t try one because I was pretty full, but if I ever go back, I’m def gonna try it.
In terms of drinks, they offered plenty of non-dairy milks such as soy, oat, and almond. My friend Rebecca said it’s super rare for NYC coffee shops to serve oat, so I guess that makes this place special. It’sjust so weird because in LA, literally every coffee shop serves oat milk. I swear, the two coasts are like different planets sometimes.
To drink, I ended up getting the pumpkin latte, which was made with coffee, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, fall spices, and soy milk (you get to pick the milk). It was so yummy. It literally tasted like fall in a cup. My sister Bella got hers without coffee and was also drooling over it.
If you’re looking for an adorable coffee shop in Midtown with vegan options and fall vibes, check out Lucid ASAP. I even bet they’ll have some fun vegan drinks for Christmas!
