Is anybody else obsessed/terrified of sharks? Like I hate to love them and love to hate them. I saw the movie 47 Meters Down and instantly became obsessed with shark films. If you’re looking for another good shark film to watch, check out The Reef and The Shallows. Both are SO GOOD. (It’s important to note that humans kill millions more sharks than sharks kill humans BUT I still love shark movies).
Anyway, I stumbled upon Great White cafe one time in Venice (after it replaced the OG bae Seed Kitchen #rip) and I really wanted to check it out sometime. After becoming obsessed with sharks, I knew I had to go to this cafe (because it’s called Great White… I know… I’m weird).
The cafe is Australian so the vibe is chill and open and beachy. It’s always SUPER crowded, but we got a table really fast and the food came out relatively fast. The staff there is SUPER SUPER RUDE and they don’t let you substitute anything. BUT the food was incredible and so were the drinks. The only vegan options are their very famous blue smoothie bowl and their savory vegan bowl.
I don’t like bananas so I was scared for the smoothie bowl, but it was low-key incredible WITH the bananas. I do have to say, the portion is very small, so you are getting less than what you pay for. But I loved it and would order it again and it makes for baller instagrams. My sister wasn’t a huge fan, but I truly loved it and am craving it right now.
The savory vegan bowl was SO good. Me, Olie, and my friend loved it. It came with quinoa, squash, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, and other yummy goodies (which sounds super lame but they low-key SLAYED it?!????? Also craving this rn)
Our shaken ice lattes were also incredible and they used the little nugget ice cubes which are so fun to chew on lol
I also got a shark themed water bottle made with reusable plastic!!!
Check this place out for a cute little brunch place by the beach!! Ugh I wanna go back like pronto
