SOOOOOO my roomie’s birthday is in a week and i thought we would celebrate it early by channeling our inner five year olds (lets face it, we basically are five year olds) and going to Duffs Cakemix to decorate cakes! If you call ahead 7 days in advance, you can request a vegan cake with vegan frosting, etc. We got a vegan chocolate and a vegan red velvet cake with vegan buttercream frosting and i think the fondant was vegan too as well as the sprinkles, etc. BTW, you can only have three people for one cake (hence buying two cakes)
So anyways, we were like the oldest people there and like right next to us a group of 7 year olds was having a Frozen themed party #GottaLoveOlaf, but if you’ve never been to Duffs, it’s super cool and modern and it’s always fun to channel your inner artist and then get to take a million photos of your masterpiece and then get to EAT IT ALL. It was SO much fun. The whole experience and vibe of it was just so awesome and we literally felt like Picasso, especially when we brushed strokes of frosting onto the cake to create waves on our LOST dharma initiative themed cake (We are such Losties it’s insane). Our other cake was just a “happy birthday Sara” cake with a dinosaur because she said she’s always wanted a dinosaur cake #MissionAccomplished.
Anyways, it was SO MUCH FUN and we literally had the best time ever. It is such a great place to have a great time with friends! When we got back, we shared the cakes with all of our friends in our hall and we are all still eating it at this moment. The cakes were AMAZING btw. I mean, it was a bit heart wrenching to see out beautiful pieces of art be destroyed but you know what!? Yolo, my friends. YOLO.
Also at Duffs, the staff is super helpful and there is a photo booth so that was fun too. Anyway, if your a parent, deff take your child here. If you’re just an adult and still feel like a child (#me) then DEFF go here because it was awesome!!! SO FUN!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARA! YOU DA BOMB
