GUYS. This place is like one of the most talked about vegan-friendly places in NYC and the hardest to make a rez to. It’s all vegetarian and mostly vegan, but make sure to ask your server (…waitress?) what is vegan. I feel like ‘server’ sounds so degrading. Like “Serve me, you poor soul”.
Anyways, they sat my friend and I at like the bar, which was lame af because we were literally starring into the kitchen instead of actually facing each other. Also they were like “try to take up as little space as possible because the waiters will be going in and out of the kitchen”…. da fuk?? Like I’m paying to be here???
Anyways, this place is super overrated in my opinion, but people love it, so idk. We got the hush puppies to start which were like fine. The maple butter it came with was really good tho.
Then we got the broccoli dogs, which were fine as well. But it came with salt and vinegar broccoli rob chips on the side that were bomb.
The Korean fried broccoli was actually pretty tasty, tbh.
OUR FAVE, which we forgot to take a picture of, was the zucchini dish. SO GOOD. Like if you come here, just get that. And the broccoli rob chips.
Anyway, would I come back? Nah. But it’s always fun to go to dinner with friends and try trendy spots!
