Isn’t this is the most LA name for a restaurant? “Dialog” as in screenwriting?! Sooooo LA. Well, a lot of people actually do come to this cafe to write so it seems quite fitting!

It’s not super fancy or anything, but it’s cute and quiet and the staff is very friendly. They don’t have a ton of vegan options but they do have one or two which is always appreciated! My sister and I randomly decided to go here for lunch one day because we were bored.

We ordered the strawberry jam matcha latte (I KNOW) and the two vegan options (the vegan bahn mi and the vegan bowl)

Okay to START. The matcha latte was INCREDIBLE. It tasted like dessert. Who would have thought jam in a matcha latte would slap so hard?! Plus, it looked so pretty.

OKAY. Now for the food. I’m so sorry Dialog cafe, I know you tried, but the vegan options were a straight up 4/10. They weren’t great. Just not super tasty and the textures were a little wonky. One of the employees kept asking us if we liked the vegan options, and we said yes because we felt bad. We should have been honest BUT it’s good to know they care about their vegan options! The side of chips was a nice tough tho! I love chips!

Would I come back here? Not really. But if I was passing by and wanted a yummy matcha, I would stop in! Seems like a nice place to do some writing, sip on a jam matcha, and write some ~dialog~.
