How did I end up at this random chocolate shop in Beverly Hills? Well, it’s a weird, long, and fairly uninteresting story, so I’ll spare you the details. The bottom line is that we (my twin and friend, Neda) ended up here and ate vegan food.
Chokolatta is located a few doors down from the Beverly Hills Urth Caffe. It’s kind of tucked away, so if you want to find it, keep your eyes peeled. Once you step inside, though, you feel like you’ve been transported to another country. Italy or maybe Paris. It has such European vibes and does not at all feel like it’s in LA, let alone in the middle of Beverly Hills. It’s a little odd, not going to lie, but also refreshing because I haven’t been able to travel in forverrrrrr. #f*ckcovid
The whole chocolate shop isn’t vegan though, but they did have a few packaged items on the shelves that were vegan, which the cashier very kindly pointed out to us. They also had vegan dark chocolate-covered strawberries, vegan chocolate bonbons, and blended drinks with non-dairy milk.
I ended up getting an almond milk matcha blended drink and a dark chocolate-covered strawberry. Bella got the same drink and a few of the bonbons. We both agreed the chocolate was amazing!!
So would I go back for the chocolate? If I was in the area, sure! Would I go back for the drinks? Probably not, only because Urth is right next store and their drinks are unbeatable. However, Chokolatta did have a mango tagine drink on their menu that screamed hot girl summer… so TBD on that.
