Hello peeps! How’s your day goin?
Well today Olie and I met up with our half-brother, Robert, for brunch at this really cute little place called Chalk Point Kitchen (hence, the title of this blog post…..). Anyways, it’s this cute little country-like restaurant that is all “market to table”, which means, A LOT OF AVOCADO!!! (Disclaimer: We liked avocado before avocado was trendy #justsayin #NotATrendFollower Lol just kidding, i love trends, but actually, my family is half Puerto Rican so we grew up with avocados #YeahBitch #SpanishPeopleRock)
Anyways, they have a couple vegan options on the menu, which our waitress pointed out for us. The avocado toast, the avocado hash (W/out eggs), and the cauliflower steak is all vegan or can be made vegan. The grilled watermelon isn’t vegan because of fish sauce btw (Like imagine ordering watermelon and not knowing there was fish sauce in it? #EW #GoVegan). They also have fresh fruit juices and virgin cocktails (for all dem virgins out there #WhootWhoot #Represent)
Olie and I got the avocado toast and the avocado hash to share. We also got the non alcoholic pineapple and pomegranate tonic (Which Olie really liked. I liked it, but not my fave. Although, it actually kinda tasted alcoholic #hmm #questionable). If you come here, GET THE AVOCADO HASH. SO FN YUMMY. It’s potatoes, avocado, garlic, caramelized onions, and deliciousness. The avocado toast was good, but not our favorite.
Also, only downside of this place, they took an HOUR to get our food. Kinda ridiculous. Actually, REALLY ridiculous. Like it didn’t make any sense considering what we ordered. But the vibe and food at this place was so good that it was okay. I would deff come back doe for that hash. Also, the check came on a cute little bottle 🙂
Us with our bro (lol he’s kneeling down. He’s not that short)
