I am so confused. How have I been a New York native for this long and have never heard of Cafe Maman until now? Shame on me. I should be embarrassed to call myself a New Yorker.
For those of you who don’t know, Cafe Maman is literally the CUTEST little cafe in NYC. It is so quaint and adorable and I’m terrible at explaining things, so you’ll just have to go to see what it’s all about.
Although the entire cafe isn’t vegan, they do have vegan options and the ambiance and decor are literally enough reason to go here alone. It’s the perfect place to network, meet up with friends, family, significant others, or even take yourself out on a date!
We asked the waitress what could be made vegan and she said the butternut squash soup with vegan/GF toast was vegan, in addition to a few modified salads.
We ended up getting almond milk matcha lattes, the butternut squash soup with GF/vegan toast, and a vegan carrot spiced loaf with frosting. Everything was incredible!!!
The matcha was *chefs kiss* and the soup (with the toast dipped in) was perfect for a chilly autumn NYC afternoon. But the star of the show was the dessert loaf. OMGEE 10/10. craving it right now.
So anyway, go. That’s all I have to say.
