HEY GUYS. Guess where we went this past week? SPAIN!!! It was SUCH an awesome trip. Filled with good company, good food, and lots of FUN.
Anyways, if you haven’t been to Barcelona, here is all you need to know. Everybody is chill AF because they take like 3 hour naps every day (otherwise known as a siesta) AND every guy in Barcelona is a male model. Not kidding. I’ve never seen hotter guys in my entire life and trust me I’ve been to Italy. It was… overwhelming to say the least.
So this was the first place we came for lunch. They didn’t have many vegan options but were very accommodating (well, if you speak Spanish like my mom did and explained what veganism is lol)
We got the roasted little peppers on the menu. They looked and tasted like the shishito peppers from Nobu. (Lol the word ‘shishito’ is so sassy. Like “You can’t shishito with us”#ByeShishito)
We also got a famous Barcelona potato dish (possibly called “potatoes bravas?” And if my spanish is on point- which it’s probably not because I forgot everything after high school- then ‘potatoes bravas’ means ‘brave potatoes’? LOL just looked it up. It means “spicy potatoes” #Itried #lol)
They came with a sauce that deff looked like it had cream in it, even though they insisted it didn’t so we just stayed away #stayaway. But the potatoes were good!
Then we got a green salad that was…well a green salad. (Wow I definitely thought the word “green” was spelled like “grean”. No wonder autocorrect kept changing it to “great” #duh). Anyway, salad was fine as is any rando salad made vegan from a non-vegan place. Tomatoes in Barcelona are exceptional tho.
Then for the main course, they made us rice with veggies that was very tasty!
The cute waiter even posed with it!
Anyway, would I recommend coming here? Probably not because they had to make an effort to accommodate us. But if you ever find yourself here, then have no fear! There are options!
