Who doesn’t love a good Aussie cafe? Australians are the master of aesthetics. They know how to be trendy and chic AND they always have at least one vegan option on their menu. (Two Hands is also an Austrlian cafe. I mean, they just do it RIGHT)
Lo and behold, one of the vibey-est cafes in New York: Bluestone Lane.
My friends and I went to the one on Carmine. One of their salads was vegan, but I ordered the quinoa porridge in the papaya boat. The quinoa porridge was very coconut-y if you’re about that life (realized I’m not so much). Also, I realized I’m not the biggest fan of quinoa porridge but it was beautifully presented (the aesthetics dude, I’m telling ya) and the papaya was DAMN DELICIOUS (I thought I didn’t like papaya but this had me questioning everything I thought I knew)
Anyways would I come back? Not for the food, but deff for the vibes. It’s the type of place you’d bring someone you’re trying to impress by being like “Yeah, I’m like from New York and I know cute trendy cafes”. You know what I mean? Yeah, I know you do.
P.S. SERVICE WAS SLOW AS BALLS (Are balls slow?) They legit took forever. I think our waitress fell asleep under the counter. And I almost walked out without paying by accident because we had been there so long I assumed we had already paid #lolSOawks.
P.S.S. These pre-teen interns hassled my friends and I and made us download an app for their job. I’m SO bad at saying NO on the spot and they were so annoying and I tried so hard to be condescending towards them. But the condescension didn’t work because they knew they were winning. Ya wanna know why? BECAUSE I DOWNLOADED THEIR FUCKING APP #peerpressure (Don’t worry. The second they left, I deleted it #redemption?) I’m not pointing any fingers, but if you see those three girls from the photo above… RUN.
