People always ask me what my love language is. My answer is simple: vegan food. Yes, you heard me loud and clear. Do you want the key to my heart? Offer me vegan food. Sold. I’m yours. 

Speaking of vegan food that recently got me very excited, a guy invited me to grab ice cream with him at Bloomfield Creamery in Westwood. I said yes, assuming there would be some sorbet or something lame like that at least for me to eat. BOY WAS I WRONG!

When I arrived at the ice cream shop, literally half of the ice cream flavors were dedicated to vegan options. Plus, the options they had weren’t boring basics like vanilla and chocolate. They were super fun and creative like Cinnamon bun, birthday cake, chocolate honeycomb, peanut butter cup, mint chocolate chip, and blueberry muffin. I mean, did I luck out or what? 

Did you think the good news stopped there? Well, just hold onto your seat because it gets better. The ice cream shop also had an array of cookie dough toppings that also had half vegan flavors!!!!! What kind of vegan utopia was I living in?? The cookie dough flavors also did not disappoint. They had brownie batter, cake batter, peanut butter chocolate chip, and more. 

I was floored and lowkey stressed about having so many options to choose from (something, frankly, vegans are not accustomed to). However, I finally bit the bullet and went with a scoop of cinnamon bun ice cream, topped with a scoop of brownie batter cookie dough. 

It was so tasty!! The ice cream literally had CHUNKS of cinnamon bun inside, which were divine. The combo of the two flavors – cinnamon bun and brownie batter – was great. Was it the best vegan ice cream I’ve ever had? No. But was it a super tasty surprise when I thought I’d be eating lemon sorbet all night? Absolutely!!
