Okay, not gonna lie, even after having a full meal at this restaurant, I still don’t even know how to describe it. It’s like a bougie vegetarian restaurant in NYC that has experimental foods created by a famous chef with some French sounding name??? It’s not my first choice of place to go, but my older sister really wanted to go. Online it says it’s plant based, but my brother and sister lowkey got eggs here so I am ~confusion~. That being said, they do have a lot of vegan options. In fact, most things on the menu are vegan .
We got the pain au chocolat, the dosa, the corncakes, stuffed dates, and an iced matcha latte. This is one of those places where you get a bunch of stuff to split with the table, which isn’t my favorite concept because I never feel full after or I feel TOO full. Also the foods have all these different types of flavors because they are trying to be fancy, but like sometimes… simpler is better?
Our favorite thing was the pain au chocolat. It’s basically a chocolate croissant. It was honestly 10/10 and super delicious.
The matcha was good!
The actual dosa was yummy and had a cheesy taste but the salad and dipping sauce was weird and random. The sauce was like sour?
The corn cakes were good but like forgettable???
The stuffed dates were good but like wonky???
Idk, I probably wouldn’t come back, but I’m happy I tried it. If you like these types of restaurants, you’ll probably like this place. But if you’re a more casual gal like me, maybe just stop by for a pain au chocolat and an iced matcha and then BOUNCE.
