Appppparently, 16 Handles always has a vegan option so holllllaaaa. Also, i love the name of this place because it deff seems like a play on John Hughes’s 16 Candles and who doesn’t love JOHN HUGHES?! Anyways, we met up with our friend Kristen and got some froyo which was actually amazeballs. Olie and I both got the soy vanilla (they have a vegan mango flavor too). I loved it but Olie said it tasted wonky #ToEachThereOwn #IFeelLikeOnlyBitterPeopleUseThatPhrase #ImNotBitter
I put sprinkles (kinda not vegan cause of the wax but it depends on if you eat honey/count bees, etc #VeganPolotics), carob chips, roasted almonds, and “wet walnuts” (which sounds really similar to “wet nuts” which makes me really uncomfortable, but they are just walnuts in maple syrup and they taste REALLY good in froyo because it tastes like caramel).
Also, this 16 Handles has a trippy party room in the back that makes you feel like you’re in a trippy party room rather then a forest even with the forest wallpaper and the confusing mirrors on the ceiling making it seem like you were in the woods. Butttt, we did make friends with a baby eating froyo so #winning? K BYE
