So, as you suckers all know (idk why I called you suckers, was feeling sassy), you MUST do afternoon tea while in London. I grew up going to London, so I’ve done my fair share of vegan teas, with my favorite being Sketch, Fortnum and Mason, and a few others. However, in all my visits to London, I had never tried the vegan afternoon tea at the Beaumont hotel, so we thought we’d finally take a gander at it.
As beautiful as the tea set up was, I have to be honest and say it is not one of my favorites. The sandwiches were semi-flavorless, the scones had a weird texture, and I wasn’t a fan of two out of the four desserts. That being said, HOWEVER, I LOVED the banana chocolate moose cake and was actually OBSESSED with the raspberry praline tart. Both of those desserts were incredible. I also was a fan of the vegan cream and jam that came with the scones, even if the scones weren’t my favorite.
But I am NOT a h8ter and I am so incredibly grateful that they even put the effort into accommodating to vegans. Did it blow my mind? No. But did it warm my cold black heart? 100%
