So if you’re a vegan who lives in NYC, then you must know of The Cinnamon Snail (If you don’t, then I’m calling your bluff you imposter!) The Cinnamon Snail started off as this ALL VEGAN food truck that sold pastries and burgers and sandwiches, etc, but for some reason, we could never manage to track down the truck. But I knew it was super popular and heard that the line was always down the block.
ANYWAY, they opened up an actual location/cafe/restaurant (so, not a truck, is what i’m getting at) at The Pennsy which is this all new trendy little food court (also has The Little Beet which has vegan stuff too).
Olie and I met up with Crystal (known as @veganeatsnyc on insta- her account is amazing. Seriously go check her out) and got a ton of food!! Olie and I got a box of donuts for our grandma and, of course, a box of donuts for ourselves #TreatYOself. They have a ton of amazing flavors of donuts so I deff suggest getting a few (or all of them…) SOOO yummy. Olie and I ate 6 of them in like 5 mins #Yoloooo #CaloriesDontCountonSpringBreak #OrEver…
Also, we got the maple mustard tempeh sandwich (so goood) and the Beastmode burger which is a seitan burger with bbq sauce, mac n’ cheese (YES), coconut bacon, chipotle mayo, AND a pretzel bun. I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW. It was amazeballs. Olie’s not even that big of a burger fan and said “That was the best burger I’ve ever eaten in my entire life”. She also would not stop raving about the pretzel bun for like hours after. SO. Highly suggest it folks.
Selfie of us with Crystal! We met over instagram!! How cool!?!? (I’m gonna be an old person right now and say, “How cool is it that social media can bring people together?” #TrueDoe )
