Yep! “Ramen Hood” is supposed to sound like Robin Hood #ClappingHandsEmojee #4ForYouGlenCoco
Anyway! This week is finals week #dying, except our art history final (#nopeAF) isn’t until Tuesday, so we were like “Why don’t we use this valuable time and try out a new vegan place?” #SilverLining
This ALL vegan ramen place is located in Grand Central Market in dtla (Downtown LA for you non native folk). If you haven’t been to Grand Central Market, go! It’s legit just a giant room filled with different food places. Sounds like my kinda place!
Anyways, we went with our fave vegan gurl, Maxine, and ventured to get our hands on these ramen bowls we kept seeing all over insta. The set up of this place is super cute because it’s a bar and they make the ramen right in front of you.
Olie and I ordered the regular ramen and Maxine ordered the spicy one. We also all ordered a vegan egg on top ramen because it looked mad real and mad sketchy so we knew we had to try it. We also got three of the sides (broccoli in soy chili glaze, fries with gravy and cheese, and a tofu with a sauce).
Everything came out SUPER quick. Olie and Maxine agreed that the ramen was mediocre/average. I really liked mine! But then again, i’ve never really had ramen before this so…i’m not the best judge #JudgeBella. Also, the egg didn’t taste like anything but it was SO SO realistic. Olie made it very clear how freaked out she was by the yolk part lol.
The tofu was eh and the fries were pretty good but nothing outstanding. (So sorry for the blurry photos. This camera legit goes from super focus to blurry af in like .2 seconds. It gets to the point where I can’t even tell anymore if a photo is in focus or is blurry)
Our favorite thing was the broccoli. TO DIE FOR. I know so random. Who would have thought? It legit tasted like sweet and sour chicken from a Chinese restaurant. I would literally just come back for that broccoli.
Would I come back? Not sure yet. Like I would deff come back if somebody invited me, but would I ever go out of my way to come back? Probs not. Still a fun time trying a new place and hanging with friends!
(Yup. They are in focus and I am blurry. Why may you ask? No idea. I guess this camera just likes to fuck with me. #IsItTooLateNowToSaySorry?)
