Ch-ch-ch-chia! Does anyone else think of the Chia Pets theme song whenever they eat chia pudding? Just me? Cool, cool…
Well, for those of you out there in the universe who are fans of chia pudding (or Chia Pets, no judgment), I found a super simple recipe for you all to follow. All you need are the following ingredients: chia seeds (duh), non-dairy milk, vanilla extract, and sweetener of choice (preferably maple syrup). Once you combine all the ingredients, you have to mix/shake the jar every 5-10 minutes or so a few times so the chia seeds evenly distribute.
Usually, I eyeball it, but for safe measure, I suggest using The Simple Veganista’s recipe (and just adjusting the measurements for the size of the jar you are using): https://simple-veganista.com/vanilla-chia-pudding/
The results were great. The texture was on point. However, because I used sugar-free maple syrup, it wasn’t as sweet as I wanted it to be, so I just topped it with extra maple when I ate it.
Try it, my little chia pet! You won’t regret it.
