Hey folks! Got a shit ton of bananas from Whole Foods so I’ve sort of been experimenting with banana ice cream lately.
One of my good friends Maxine (aka @planthappy on instagram) recently made three-ingredient raw cookie dough bites to top her nana ice cream with, so my roommate and I thought we’d give a whirl and try it out!
(Lol you should have seen my schedule for the day. I literally carved out time in my schedule to “make chocolate chip banana ice cream” because I’m #aproudvegan / #loser #maybe?)
Anyway…
Ingredients for cookie dough bites:
- Oats
- Cinnamon
- Dates
- Chocolate chips
Recipe:
- Blend oats in vitamix until you form a flour
- Add as much dates as needed to form a thick flour/paste
- Add cinnamon and agave for taste (as much as you want)
- Take out of vitamix (be careful, those freakin blades are sharp AF)
- Roll into little balls/fold in chocolate chips
- Make banana ice cream (put frozen bananas into vitamix w/ a splash of vanilla)
- Put nana ice cream into bowl, top with oooey gooey chocolate sauce and then add cookie dough bite
SOOOOOO good!!!! Gotta hands the credit to ma gurl Maxine for her delicious innovation!!! Gurl, you are a master chef and dis was delicious!
