Yes, it is possible to be vegan and bougie!!
I know all the non-believers in the crowd are shouting, “All designer shoes are leather or fur! STFU!” Well babes, that just isn’t true. You just gotta get you a shoe that can do both.
Disclaimer: The term “vegan shoes” is really subjective according to what you believe is vegan. I wear converse sneakers as opposed to Adidas because they are made with canvas/rubber as opposed to leather; however, many people don’t think converse are vegan because of the non-vegan glue the shoe is made with.
If you are that strict with what you consider vegan (which is great!!) then I cannot say for certain whether the following designer shoes are indeed vegan. I do, however, know for certain that they are not made with leather or fur.
The first two stylish pairs of vegan designer shoes I got come from the LEGENDARY Stella McCartney. Stella is known to be a vegan brand, so I’m assuming the glue used in these shoes are vegan as well.
The first pair I got are these knit sneakers (very in right now #yeet #yeezy). They feel like socks, have a nice height for all the shorties out there, and are so freaking dope, I love them.
The second pair are these Stella-Adidas-collab sneakers that look like those really basic Adidas everyone owns, except vegan!!! Also, they’re cuter than the normal ones. H8ters don’t @ me. They are SUPER comfy and I’m actually obsessed with them. 11/10 recommend.
Disclaimer #2: The prices on these shoes were pretty high, so if you’re looking for designer shoes, be prepared to dish out the dollars. I won’t lie. Both were over $500. But hey, they are designer, so what can you expect? It’s totally fine if you can’t afford them, of course. There are a MILLION other vegan shoe options that are much cheaper and just as cute. But this post is for all the bougie vegans out there. I see you.
The third and final pair of vegan designer shoes I got were: Chanel mini rainboots.
Here’s a vegan hack, folk! Like a designer brand but can’t find non-leather options? Go for their rain boots. They will never be made with leather and a lot of them are ankle height and can be worn like normal booties.
These Chanel rainboots were $850. Steep price, but they’re also beautiful (ignore the smudge on them lol, my fault) and incredibly comfortable and chic. I’m not telling you to go spend this much on rainboots… but if you can afford it and are vegan, it is a designer option.
Well, that’s it ma bougie friends. You can be vegan and be bougie. It is possible!
If you can’t afford these, not a problem! There are a million other cute shoes out in the sea!
