Sakara Life. Anyone heard of them before? Well, the name is cool and my Instagram account was literally shoving Sakara Life adds down my throat, so I decided it was a sign from the universe that I just HAD to try their products.
For those of you who don’t know what Sakara is, it’s a vegan, organic meal delivery service that also sells trendy health and wellness products. Although I didn’t try their meal delivery service (it looks dank though, so maybe I’ll review it in the future), I decided to test the waters of the brand and check out some of their products.
The products that caught my eye, in particular, were the beauty chocolates (which are chock-full of their award-winning vegan collagen) and the beauty/detox water drops. The water droplets are supposed to be added to your morning and nightly glass of waters (beauty in the morning, detox at night). The beauty drops are filled with 72 trace minerals and the detox water is basically chlorophyll.
For starters, the beauty chocolates are baller. I mean, who doesn’t love chocolate? On top of that, who doesn’t love chocolate filled with vegan collagen that is supposed to make you beautiful? It’s seriously a win-win. The chocolates taste pretty good too and, so far, I’ve been taking two a day. It’s too early to see results, but (allegedly) you’re supposed to see results in two weeks! So guys, if I’m still not cute in two weeks… well then, I’m a lost cause. Anyway, I totally recommend the chocolates. They are each only ten calories, so eating them is like eating a sweet treat, while also doing something good for your skin!
However, I wasn’t a fan of the water drops TBH. For starters, the detox water was just pretty much- chlorophyll. Some people LOVE the earthy taste of chlorophyll, but I simply don’t. The water was green and I couldn’t mentally get past that. As for the beauty drops, they were fine in the water, but they do slightly alter the taste of the water and I personally just like my water to taste like water, so I wasn’t a huge fan of those either.
Again, though, it’s a preference thing. I wouldn’t knock any of the products until you try them yourself. But I totally recommend the beauty chocolates because… #chocolate. Do I need another reason?
