GUYS. I feel like scrambled eggs were such a big part of my childhood. I remember eating them doused in ketchup while watching Hannah Montana in my old living room on one of those tv tables. Yes, you could say I lived a life of luxury.
And ever since going vegan, I’ve always craved really delicious, creamy scrambled eggs, but I never found a good vegan alternative. WELL, Just Eggs (from the company that made Just Mayo as well #ballers), has been circulating around some select supermarkets and is SUPER hard to get a hold of. UNTIL. My sister’s boyfriend finally found it for my sister and I through some ~secret~ connections and shipped them to us to try! #bloggerperks
SO, anyway, I tried it! The packaging is super cute (however, there isn’t that much product in each package. I’d say you could make 2 full plates of scrambled vegan egg with that #salty #saltbae). It’s super easy to scramble and takes like two seconds. The texture and appearance is uncanny to that of real scrambled eggs, however the taste and the smell aren’t. It tasted more like plants (it’s made with mung beans) than eggs, BUT I did really enjoy it with ketchup!
The second time I cooked the vegan egg, I added salt/pepper, garlic powder, and nutritional yeast, and it actually tasted really really good! Like I ate an entire plate of it (with my one love, ketchup, of course). So I really think it depends how you cook it! But if you can get your hands on it, check it out!!! Good luck finding it though. May the odds be ever in your favor.
Damn, now I’m craving it…
