Hello! And by that, I mean, yes, hello, how are you? It’s been a while! But I also mean, “hello” as in the brand. What is Hello? It is a naturally-friendly toothpaste and mouthwash company that is vegan and none of their products are tested on animals. Can we get a what-what! How awesome is that??
So, I recently tried out their hemp seed oil and coconut oil fluoride-free toothpaste. As interesting as it sounds, I didn’t pick it out myself. It was given to me in a goody-bag at a blogger event my sister and I got invited to (#subtleflex #arewepopularyet? #loveme). TBH, I usually use Tom’s toothpaste because it’s vegan, cruelty-free, and has fluoride and, as someone who grew up with a shit ton of cavities, I’m pretty hesitant about not using fluoride in my paste. But, as always, I was willing to give the product a try.
For starters, I really appreciate the brand for what they’re doing by catering to a vegan and natural-product-based audience. HOWEVER – you done well know I ain’t ever gonna lie to y’all – I was not a fan. The coconut oil flavor is pretty strong and, if you’re like me and only like fresh coconut and hate coconut-tasting things, you might hate putting this in your mouth. Yes, haha, that’s what she said. Well, it’s what I said, but you get the point.
So would I recommend this? Yes, only if you prefer natural toothpaste, like the taste of coconut and aren’t afraid of fluoride-free paste/live somewhere with fluoride in tap water. No, if you’re like me and deathly afraid of cavities and don’t like the taste of coconut. Hello? More like goodbye! Jk, it’s not a bad product. I just wanted to say that.
