Makeup is the biggest trend right now, isn’t it? All the Youtubers and beauty gurus on the internet are all super talented and artistic with their makeup skills, it can leave the rest of us not-as-talented folks feeling left out. Well, fear no further you talent-less vegans! You can rise to the beauty guru’s level and not only find the PERFECT shade of lipstick for your face but MAKE it yourself. 

Yes, you heard that right. Bite Beauty Lab in LA (there also might be one in NY) lets you make your own freaking lipstick shades, which includes picking the color, finish, flavor, and name for your individually designed tube. How sick is that? 

Our vegan little sister (shoutout to Leila lol) bought my sister and I each a gift card to the Bite Beauty Bar for our birthday, which allowed us to use their Bespoke service- making two individual custom lipsticks. 

I know some of you are like… makeup? Lipstick? Who cares… give me the vegan donuts. And yes, I myself am not that into makeup either. I literally wear makeup maybe ten times a year, BUT if you were ever an arts & crafts geek or a chemistry nerd in high school (#me #me #me), you will have the best time watching and creating a lipstick from scratch. The whole process from start to finish had me feeling like a chemist, a baker, and a beauty guru all at once. 

In the end, both Bella and I decided to each make our own red shade and nude shade. My red “All In” had a matte finish and cherry flavor, while my nude “Cake” had a satin finish and coconut flavor. 

Overall, my sis and I had the best time creating these shades and can’t wait to try them on! Now, who says being vegan isn’t fun??? 

Also, I should mention, the service ($150 per person) comes with the two lipsticks and the whole lip care set, which includes lip primer, a cherry lip scrub, and an agave lip mask!
