Best Workout Classes in New York City

1. Soul Cyle

A cycling class that is pretty damn legit and trendy. I’d recommend it for a high intensity workout mixed with awesome music and inspirational speeches. I do have to say though, some people get WAY too into it lol.

2. Orange Fitness

Treadmill, rowing, and floor workouts, all with your heart connected to a monitor to see your progress.  Very good workout, but kind of embarrassing when they put your heart monitor results on a giant board with everybody else’s and you’re coming in last…… #lol #me

3. SLT

SUCH A GOOD WORKOUT. More toning than anything else. It’s like pilates mixed with cardio? I was shaking the entire time and legit couldn’t walk for the rest of the day. But i’d deff do it again…. Do I enjoy pain? #lolkidding #bdsm?

4. 305 Fitness 

If you like zumba and dance parties with lights and techno music, COME HERE. It’s such a fun zumba class and there is a live DJ there and strobe lights and it’s a party. Deff go with friends.

5. Barry’s Bootcamp 

Um if you want to die, come here. If you also want a good workout, come here. 

6. Work Train Fight 

If you are interested in boxing, come here! The trainers are so nice and welcoming and the workouts aren’t too intense but deff challenging.

7. Pure Barre

Toning. Come here for some good ol’ toning.

Yup those are my favorite workout classes in NYC. I have not tried them all but these are my fave. My number one workout is walking to get food but hey, that’s a given 😉

If you’re, not a workout class fan or a gym fan (we’ve all been there lol), I suggest just running along Chelsea Pier or walking the Highline with friends…. or just lying in your bed and watching Gilmore Girls.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT try Jump Life, the trampoline workout class. The people there are rude, the class is boring and slow, and it’s filled with old people. Sorry not sorry, bros.
